چکیده

We demonstrate the use of dual-comb spectroscopy for isotope ratio measurements. show that analysis spectral range a free-running near-infrared spectrometer can be extended to midinfrared by difference frequency generation target specific regions suitable such measurements and especially relative isotopic δC13. The performed present very good repeatability over several days with standard deviation below 2‰ recording time few tens seconds, results are compatible obtained using an mass spectrometer. Our setup also shows possibility chemical species without any major modification, which used measure other ratios. Further improvements could decrease uncertainties measurements, thus compete spectrometers currently available on market.Received 4 March 2022Revised 30 2022Accepted April 2022DOI:https://doi.org/10.1103/PhysRevResearch.4.023098Published American Physical Society under terms Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International license. distribution this work must maintain attribution author(s) published article's title, journal citation, DOI.Published SocietyPhysics Subject Headings (PhySH)Research AreasFrequency combs & self-phase lockingLaser spectroscopyLasersOptics lasersTechniquesOptical absorption spectroscopySpectroscopyAtomic, Molecular Optical

Tunable resolution terahertz dual frequency comb spectrometer.

Terahertz dual frequency comb spectroscopy (THz-DFCS) yields high spectral resolution without compromising bandwidth. Nonetheless, the resolution of THz-DFCS is usually limited by the laser repetition rate, which is typically between 80 MHz and 1 GHz. In this paper, we demonstrate a new method to achieve sub-repetition rate resolution in THz-DFCS by adaptively modifying the effective laser repe...

Comb-locked Lamb-dip spectrometer

Overcoming the Doppler broadening limit is a cornerstone of precision spectroscopy. Nevertheless, the achievement of a Doppler-free regime is severely hampered by the need of high field intensities to saturate absorption transitions and of a high signal-to-noise ratio to detect tiny Lamb-dip features. Here we present a novel comb-assisted spectrometer ensuring over a broad range from 1.5 to 1.6...

Cross contamination in dual inlet isotope ratio mass spectrometers

Since the early days of geochemical isotope ratio mass spectrometry there has always been the problem of cross contamination, i.e. the contamination of the sample gas with traces of reference gas (and vice versa) in a dual inlet system and the analyzer itself. This was attributable to valve leakages and could be corrected for. In modern leak-free machines this problem still influences the measu...

The optical frequency comb fibre spectrometer

Optical frequency comb sources provide thousands of precise and accurate optical lines in a single device enabling the broadband and high-speed detection required in many applications. A main challenge is to parallelize the detection over the widest possible band while bringing the resolution to the single comb-line level. Here we propose a solution based on the combination of a frequency comb ...

b isotope ratio measurements using two Daly detectors equipped on an ICP - mass spectrometer

The simultaneous detection of Pb and Pb ions has been made by multiple-ion counting ICP-mass spectrometry using two Daly detectors (MC-ICPMS). To evaluate the long-term gain stability of the detectors, Ba/Ba and Ba/Ba ratios have been measured by a combination of Daly and Faraday detectors (Ba(D)/Ba(F)) and an electron multiplier and Faraday detectors (Ba(EM)/Ba(F)). The measured Ba(EM)/Ba(F) r...
